About GreenSignature
What is GreenSignature®?
GreenSignature® is a private, UK-based workplace credibility and impact organisation. Its programmes assess defined organisational practices and recognise eligible organisations or individuals against the published criteria for the relevant programme.
What does GreenSignature® assess?
Depending on the programme, an assessment may consider workplace trust, employee wellbeing, transparency, psychological safety, inclusion, governance and related people or impact practices. The exact scope is set by the relevant programme criteria.
What is the Mindful WorkSpace Framework™?
It is GreenSignature®’s framework for reviewing selected workplace conditions and organisational practices. Where a programme uses it, measures may include a Workplace Life Grade and related indicators such as stress, happiness, anger and trust. The measures and their interpretation depend on the programme and evidence collected.
Is GreenSignature® a government regulator or an external accreditation body?
GreenSignature® awards are private programme outcomes. They are not government approval, statutory licensing, regulatory certification or accreditation by another body unless a specific written programme document expressly states otherwise.
Does a GreenSignature® certificate prove that an organisation complies with every law or standard?
No. A certificate confirms only the named programme outcome, scope and validity shown on the award record. It is not a legal opinion, a guarantee of compliance in every jurisdiction, or a substitute for regulatory approvals, professional advice or other required certifications.
Does a GreenSignature® assessment replace ESG reporting, statutory filings or another organisation’s accreditation?
No. GreenSignature® assessment outcomes are specific to the named programme and do not replace mandatory reporting, regulatory filings, legal duties or another organisation’s certification or accreditation. A buyer, regulator, funder or reporting framework decides independently whether the evidence meets its own requirements.
How does GreenSignature® differ from other workplace or ESG assessment programmes?
Each programme has its own scope, criteria, methods and intended use. GreenSignature® applies its published programme criteria to areas such as workplace trust, wellbeing, transparency and impact. Applicants should compare the written scope and methodology directly; GreenSignature® does not claim that its outcomes are equivalent to another provider’s award or rating.
Does GreenSignature® certify products?
GreenSignature® programmes focus on the defined organisation, workplace, service or professional practice in scope. They do not certify the quality, safety or performance of products unless a specific written programme expressly says so.
What is the difference between a certification, an assessment and a recognition?
A certification confirms that a defined subject met stated programme criteria for a stated period. An assessment is a structured review or measurement and may result in findings without an award. A recognition or honour acknowledges a specified contribution under its programme rules; it is not a licence or general endorsement.
Does GreenSignature® audit an organisation’s finances, product quality or research and development?
Not unless a specific written programme expressly includes that scope. A GreenSignature® workplace or impact assessment is not a financial audit, product-quality certification or general review of research and development. The certificate and programme documents define what was assessed.
Programmes and eligibility
Which GreenSignature® programmes are available?
Programmes include Trusted Workplace, Trusted NGO, Trusted Wellness Provider, Global Impact Honours and selected workplace wellbeing, inclusion and advocacy initiatives. Availability, criteria and application routes can vary by programme and year; use the programme page or contact GreenSignature® for current details.
Who can apply for an organisational certification?
Eligible businesses, non-governmental organisations and service providers may apply where the relevant programme is open to their organisation type, location and activities. GreenSignature® confirms eligibility after reviewing the application and relevant programme rules.
Can an individual be recognised by GreenSignature®?
Yes. Individual recognition, including Global Impact Honours, is governed by the relevant nomination or application route and its annual criteria. Nomination does not guarantee selection, and an individual honour is not an organisational certification or professional licence.
Are Global Impact Honours decided by likes, shares or public voting?
No. Honouree selection is based on the applicable programme criteria and review process. Social media activity, likes and shares do not determine the outcome. A nomination is not confirmation that the nominee has been selected.
Can an organisation outside India apply?
GreenSignature® serves applicants internationally, subject to programme availability, local law, practical assessment requirements and the applicant meeting the applicable criteria. A recognition issued by GreenSignature® does not automatically have regulatory or accreditation status in another country.
Are there organisations or industries that GreenSignature® will not certify?
Yes. GreenSignature® does not offer or maintain certifications or recognitions for organisations materially involved in drug or pharmaceutical manufacturing, alcohol or tobacco manufacturing, betting or gambling. It also excludes applicants subject to applicable official sanctions or blacklists and organisations meeting the terrorism, trafficking, exploitation, abuse or serious-harassment criteria in the Certification, Recognition and Assessment Policy.
How does GreenSignature® handle sanctions, blacklists or terrorism-related concerns?
GreenSignature® may screen applicants, relevant owners and controlling entities against current official sanctions lists and other authoritative public records relevant to the programme or transaction. A possible name match is checked for identity and context; a verified designation or prohibition may make the applicant ineligible.
Will an unverified report or allegation automatically disqualify an organisation?
Not automatically. GreenSignature® may place an application or award on precautionary hold where credible, documented information indicates a material safeguarding or integrity risk. Where practicable and lawful, the organisation will be given notice of the concern and a reasonable opportunity to respond. Substantiated findings and credible unresolved risks are handled under the published policy.
Do subsidiaries, affiliates or related entities receive the same certificate?
No. An award covers only the legal entity, site, service, category and scope expressly identified in the award record. A parent, subsidiary, affiliate, franchise, product or additional location is not covered unless it is specifically assessed and named.
Is a preliminary conversation or application confirmation an approval?
No. An introductory discussion, eligibility check, application acknowledgement or request for documents is not a certification decision. An award is granted only after the required review and formal confirmation by GreenSignature®.
Application and assessment
How does an organisation apply?
Start with the relevant programme page and submit the application through the stated route. GreenSignature® reviews initial eligibility, confirms the applicable scope and requirements, and provides any programme-specific next steps or written proposal. Applying or paying a fee does not guarantee an award.
What information or documents may be required?
Requirements vary by programme and may include registration and ownership details, policies, governance records, relevant operational evidence, declarations, survey information and supporting records. Applicants should submit only information they are authorised to share and should follow the programme’s instructions on personal or confidential data.
What happens during an assessment?
Depending on the programme, GreenSignature® may review documents, conduct interviews, request clarifications, gather stakeholder input, use surveys, review public records or undertake a site or virtual review. The assessment method and evidence requirements are proportionate to the programme scope and stated criteria.
How long does the assessment take?
Timing depends on the programme, organisation size and complexity, availability of evidence, response times and any verification required. GreenSignature® will provide an estimate where possible; a timeframe is not a guarantee of a decision or result.
How are programme fees calculated?
Fees depend on the programme and agreed scope. Factors may include organisation size, locations, assessment method, stakeholder sample, evidence requirements and any separately requested support. Taxes and payment milestones are stated in the written proposal or checkout information before purchase.
How are assessment criteria and scores determined?
Each programme uses its own stated criteria and assessment method. Results reflect the evidence, scope and method applicable at the time of review. GreenSignature® may protect confidential reviewer information, security checks and proprietary scoring details, while communicating the decision and relevant findings as appropriate.
Can we pay for a certificate or a favourable result?
No. Payment covers the application, assessment, training or other service stated in the proposal or programme terms. It does not buy a favourable result, a particular score, publication, ranking or certificate.
Does certification guarantee business growth, customer trust or a higher search ranking?
No. GreenSignature® does not guarantee customer acquisition, revenue, funding, hiring outcomes, search-engine rankings or other commercial results. The award may be communicated within its stated scope, but any resulting business impact depends on many factors outside GreenSignature®’s control.
What if our organisation does not meet the criteria?
GreenSignature® may decline the award or identify areas requiring further evidence or improvement. Any feedback, reassessment or support is subject to the applicable programme and written terms. No improvement plan or training service guarantees a later certification.
Does GreenSignature® provide implementation or training support?
Some programmes may offer guidance, training or implementation support as a separate service. Availability, scope, fees and delivery terms will be confirmed in writing. Support does not change the assessment criteria or guarantee an award.
Certificates, validity and badge use
How long is a GreenSignature® certificate valid?
The validity period is the period shown on the certificate or verification record. Many organisational certifications are time-limited and may require renewal or reassessment. Do not assume that a certificate is perpetual if no expiry information is shown; contact GreenSignature® to clarify the record.
How long is a Trusted NGO recognition valid?
The Trusted NGO recognition is issued for the validity period shown on its certificate and programme record; the programme’s current terms provide for a one-year period. The holder should check the recorded expiry date and apply for reassessment if renewal is available.
What happens when a certificate expires?
An expired award must not be represented as current. The holder must stop using it as an active certification and may apply for renewal or reassessment if the programme permits. Certificate status can be checked through GreenSignature®’s verification service.
Can an award cover every office or business activity?
Only the entity, locations, category and activities stated in the award record are covered. Material changes, acquisitions, new locations or changes in activity should be reported promptly because they may require review.
How can I verify a GreenSignature® certificate?
Use the Search Certificate or verification page on the GreenSignature® website and enter the requested certificate details. A directory entry or certificate image should be read together with its recorded status, scope and validity dates.
May we display the GreenSignature® badge and logo?
The named award holder may use the unaltered badge only while the award is valid, and only to describe the exact award and scope granted. It must not imply government approval, external accreditation, product certification or coverage of an unlisted entity. Permission ends on expiry, suspension or withdrawal.
Can GreenSignature® publish our organisation or award details?
GreenSignature® may publish or confirm award information identified as public under the programme rules and application terms, subject to applicable privacy law. Use of photographs, testimonials or other personal material is handled under the relevant consent or lawful basis and the Privacy Policy.
Integrity, privacy and review
What is expected of applicants when submitting evidence?
Applicants must provide complete, accurate and genuine information, disclose material limitations, and ensure they have authority to submit records. Fabricated, altered, misleading or selectively presented evidence may lead to refusal, suspension or withdrawal. GreenSignature® may request source records or independent confirmation.
How is employee or participant information handled?
Personal information is handled under the GreenSignature® Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Applicants must have an appropriate legal basis to share information and should provide only what is relevant. Survey confidentiality, anonymity and reporting arrangements depend on the specific programme and must not be assumed unless stated.
Can GreenSignature® suspend or withdraw an award after it is issued?
Yes. GreenSignature® may refuse, suspend, correct or withdraw an award where evidence is false or unverifiable, eligibility changes, programme rules are breached, the badge is misused, or a material legal, safety, safeguarding or integrity risk arises. Where practicable and lawful, the holder will be notified and given a reasonable chance to respond.
Can we request a review of a decision?
An applicant or award holder may request one internal reconsideration in writing within 15 business days of the decision, identifying a material factual error, procedural irregularity, conflict of interest or relevant evidence that could not reasonably have been provided earlier. The process does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
How do we raise a complaint or ask a policy question?
Email hello@greensignature.org with your name, organisation, programme and application or decision reference. GreenSignature® may verify your identity or authority before discussing confidential application information.
Where can I read the detailed programme rules, terms and policies?
The relevant programme page and written proposal set out programme-specific criteria and service terms. The website also publishes the Certification Policy, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If documents differ, the applicable signed agreement or programme-specific rule takes precedence only to the extent stated in the Certification Policy.
